How to Make a Financial Donation

We support our neighbors in need by donating thousands of dollars each month to local nonprofit organizations that serve the homeless, hungry, and uninsured. We also coordinate with local agencies to provide emergency funds that prevent evictions and utility service disconnections.

To help us continue this work, please consider donating to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You can write your check and drop it off in person, or mail it to:

Good news for those folks who don't write checks: We now accept Zelle payments for donations! You can use your online banking account to donate directly to Ypsilanti Thrift Shop using

(734) 483-1226!

If your financial institution does not use Zelle, simply download the app and set up an account to get started. You'll be glad you did! (Please kindly add 50 cents to the total so our non-profit does not have to absorb the bank fee.)

Did you know that 34 million people/businesses participated in Giving Tuesday in 2023? It's a day of global giving that occurs on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving as a way of promoting charitable giving. Please consider a financial donation on December 3, 2024, and beyond!

Do you have a Krogers Plus Shopper's Card that you swipe/scan for points when you shop? Simply download the Kroger app and create a digital account. Then you can start giving to us every time you shop and scan the card! Here's how to link your card to us:

Sign into your digital account
Go to the Community Rewards section
Search for Ypsilanti Thrift Shop
Select us from the list and click SAVE
View your Community Rewards total in your account details (it takes about 10 days, but then you will see the total given on your paper receipts when you shop
